Dancing in The StreetsDancing in The Streets

Wolverine World Wide, Inc. is a highly successful shoe, clothing and fashion accessory company operating out of 143 factories worldwide selling more than 33 million pairs of shoes with over $1.2 billion in sales last year alone.

Operations on this global level of scale pose problems such as:

    • Transparent project management covering multiple apparel seasons at all levels of the business process
    • Worldwide collaboration with regard to cost, markets, multiple brands, production volumes, pricing and timing.
    • Expensive prototyping on physical properties.
    • Etc.,

CENIT North America has solved these issues that Wolverine and other companies have encountered by utilizing a PLM system that has been fully customized for their needs using SAP and Right Hemisphere technologies.  This system helps control all engineering and design data integrity.

A SAP cProjects system was installed to create project transparency for project team member and leaders worldwide.  Right Hemisphere was installed and configured to create 3D photorealistic renderings of the designs to utilize virtual design and approval processes. The output is then shared internationally with colleagues at all levels of the business process in a 3D PDF file that anyone can review without having to install or understand 3D CAD systems

All of these processes have moved the company into the next generation of data control and virtual design.  They are contributing to more efficient product developement, sampling and prototyping processes.  They will also achieve reduced lead times, lower product costs and improved gross margins.
