SAP PLM 7 Ramp Up Initiative
Our role & activities:
The CENIT AG has been a strategic PLM consultancy and development partner of the SAP AG for many years. For more than ten years we have fostered a very close exchange with SAP’s PLM Solution Management.
For almost the same amount of time, our SAP Solutions business area has therefore also been SAP Partner Edge Software Solution Provider and Service Partner. Our well-founded SAP PLM know-how is in particular reflected in the Special Expertise Partner certificates for SAP PLM, SAP NetWeaver technology, and Business Process Management as well as in several industries.
Thus, we became involved in the development project as a SAP PLM 7 Ramp Up Partner at a very early stage. For this reason, we have oriented our entire cenitCONNECT solution portfolio to additionally focus on SAP PLM 7. Users of our classic SAP PLM ECC 6.0 may, however, also still employ our solutions for optimizing their business processes.

Our Industry Expertise
We belong to the very first SAP partners who offer add-ons for an integrated product development on the basis of PLM 7.
On the basis of the SAP PLM 7 infrastructure we can therefore supply our customers with our business process engine cenitCONNECT, thus providing the maximum surplus value for their PLM / PLM 7 system. Our solution enables them to realize both the control, monitoring, and automation of their business processes and the linking and visualization of all relevant product data in SAP. Process-embedded modular components support the integration of a continually growing number of authoring systems where much product data is generated.
The implementation of our solutions at a fixed price is carried out business-process-oriented within the framework of our standardized PLM introductory methodology with ezPLM - developed in cooperation with SAP.
The advantage for our customers is a combination of quickly visible successes owed to the standard delivery of predefined scenarios as well as to the realization of phase concepts. Our cenitCONNECT portfolio is shaped industry-specifically, flexible to configure, and scalable from a PDM up to a PLM solution.

CENIT customer ADC Telecommunications enjoys the freedom of being able to make qualitative adjustments to processes by changing participants and the SAP objects concerned. The full integration of the process solution in SAP PLM 7 was a key factor in the telecommunications company’s decision.
