With regard to the Automotive sector, the electronics company opts for the introduction of CATIA and ENOVIA

Stuttgart, October 20, 2010 – In the future, the well-established German TechniSat group is going to employ the CATIA and ENOVIA  software products in the Automotive sector. Implementation is carried out by the CENIT AG – a specialist in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

In addition to consumer electronics products such as digital televisions, receivers, and satellite dishes, TechniSat also produces OEM radio navigation systems for the automotive industry. In choosing CATIA and ENOVIA, TechniSat relies on the technology of Dassault Systèmes which is the leading technology in the automobile industry. CATIA, the solution for product engineering, is combined with electronics development. Data and project are organized by means of ENOVIA, with the data interchange with the automotive OEMs being integrated. Thus, the system supplier TechniSat is drawing ever closer to the German automobile manufacturers.

TechniSat‘s development office in Dresden, Germany, with more than 300 employees is a pioneer in implementing the new technology. Future plans include the additional employment of the data in other areas, such as project management and production.

CENIT has been successfully active in integrated Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for years. The PLM consultancy, service, and software offering is based on Dassault Systèmes standard products and is supplemented by CENIT’s own solutions. The company supports manufacturing organizations in establishing industry-specific standard processes, in reducing costs while at the same time increasing quality, and in remaining competitive.
