If a company decides to archive its SAP data in IBM FileNet P8, it can gain compliance security and can work more efficiently. The document filing also becomes a great deal simpler because the process is part-automated and uses improved interfaces.
CENIT offers a product trio to support SAP archiving in IBM FileNet:
CENIT INES automatically indexes incoming and outgoing receipts in FileNet P8 using index values from SAP. Even without SAP access, this makes it possible to search documents in P8. The product is available for all platforms which run FileNet ACSAP, FileNet’s SAP archiving solution.
SAPMIG transfers archived documents as copies from an SAP Content Repository via SAP ArchiveLINK to another SAP Content Repository. The migration process is managed from SAP. SAPMIG uses the standard SAP ArchiveLink interface and has proven itself as a simple yet reliable migration tool.
In SAP, SAPIC (SAP Insert Connector) automatically creates links on the basis of documents already existing in FileNet. This automated creation of SAP links ensures that incoming documents can be processed in SAP more quickly than in the past, because it does away with time-intensive and error-prone allocation “by hand”. In addition, SAPIC helps make incoming document processing more transparent and thereby enhances information security. It can be integrated in SAP Business Workflow and, like INES, runs on all platforms that also run FileNet ACSAP.
