Renewable EnergiesRenewable Energies

In the coming decades, a stable and sustainable supply of energy will be a fundamental prerequisite of economic growth. This applies not only to energy-hungry and fast growing countries like China and India, but to all industrialized nations. Obsolescent energy grids, the need to radically reduce CO2 emissions, and the fact that our fossil resources coal, oil and natural gas are finite all demand a change of thinking in favor of new technologies.
Based on the renewable energy sources water, wind, solar, geothermics and biogas, new technologies make it possible to produce and provide energy in an environmentally compatible manner. For a constant supply of energy independent of weather and location, we need new ways of thinking and new forms of technology:

  • Intelligent power grids
  • Energy storage solutions
  • Decentralized, technologically individualized energy supply
  • R&D for increased energy efficiency
  • Industrialization of development, manufacturing and maintenance of power plants
  • Automatic monitoring and control of power plants and power generation

These changes are associated with a major reorientation in planning, developing and operating energy supply systems – particularly with respect to finding ways of combining different sources of energy.
Such projects must always be planned and implemented more quickly, and must be able to continually integrate changing partners and suppliers. Moreover, increasing internationality means that a wide range of legal specifications and standards must be observed to enable international collaboration.

CENIT Topical Focus:

PLM 2.0:

Together with Dassault Systèmes as a technology developer, CENIT AG provides an all-new technology, in-formation and communications platform for all project participants:

  • PLM 2.0

    PLM – Product Lifecycle Management
covers all activities along the entire lifecycle – from the initial idea of a product to its disposal at the end of its lifecycle, from development to design, manufacturing, marketing, sales, assembling and on to service and maintenance.

    PLM 2.0
ensures that all process participants, wherever they may be located, can collaborate effectively  along the value chain via a web-based communication platform that provides them with identical data and intuitive 3D visualization.

Continuous Process Chain

  • The experiences we have gained in the automotive industry, in aerospace and in mechanical engineering now benefit the new industries in the form of a continuous process chain:

    • Industrialization and automation with great flexibility and product individuality
    • Development and simulation of highly complex – not just mechanical – systems
    • Manufacturing-oriented design
    • Integration of best-practice solutions, incl. existing ERP systems
    • Consistent, complete and continually updated database
    • Rapid decisions thanks to interdisciplinary and distributed collaboration as well as professional project management
