CENIT Expands Cooperation with Webasto

IT Experts provide Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) support for the subsidiaries Webasto-Edscha Cabrio GmbH and HS Genion GmbH

Stuttgart, October 05, 2010 – CENIT deepens the cooperation with Webasto Group: Webasto now also transfers the system responsibility for the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments of their subsidiaries Webasto-Edscha Cabrio GmbH and HS Genion GmbH to the PLM specialists. This includes the operation of the CAD / PDM environment as well as all tools in this area such as, for example, multi-CAD data interchange.

Fully integrated into Webasto‘s organization, several CENIT employees currently ensure the constant availability of the systems on-site at Webasto, prompt CATIA OEM Release Management, as well as the regular exchange with Webasto’s IT management. This leads to continuously improving quality. 1st and 2nd level support furthermore guarantee the prompt support of the developers. Since this approach has proven to be successful, another employee will provide on-site assistance and support at Webasto-Edscha Cabrio GmbH in Hengersberg, Germany.

The advantages are obvious: Cost transparency and stability, use of synergy effects with the parent company, and thus further reduction of expenses in the IT. This also has a positive effect on the roll-out of already established, standardized processes in the subsidiaries since this way, the highly qualified development teams can be quickly and successfully integrated into Webasto’s IT environment.
