New features for fixture-building and programming – More user-friendly operation
Stuttgart, July 1, 2011 – Cenit’s successful specialist manufacturing solutions are consolidated in our FASTSUITE product family and enable efficient process automation, and today sees the launch of Release R13. FASTSUITE complements the existing standard solutions CATIA and DELMIA, which ensures maximum support for complex manufacturing processes.
The new Release R13 is much more user-friendly and offers a range of new features for fixture-building and programming.
Key highlights of R13:
- Expanded PPR tree: The PPR tree structure now includes in-depth tree elements containing details of the operations. You can now access points, events, jogs and startup/shutdown data in the PPR tree itself from the tree element for operations. Operation elements can be easily changed, copied, added or deleted without the operation needing to be opened beforehand. The new tree elements are bi-directionally linked with the 3D view, which means that point sequences can now be easily re-ordered.
- Redesign of the teach dialog for improved programming: New functions as well as easily accessible jog and event data have made the user interface for the robot teach dialog much more user-friendly. R13 allows you to perform simulations up to the selected trajectory point without exiting the teach dialog. The jog can now be easily set to a trajectory point in which it can be selected either in the 3D view or in the new selection list. In addition, the 3D and tree view can be automatically centered to the selected trajectory point. You can call up in-depth information about the current jog directly and without exiting the dialog. This function also allows you to add further events simultaneously.
- Improved support for the component in the fixture: Now, real-life components that differ slightly from the CAD component can be securely held in the fixture. The new “Igelaufnahme” (“hedgehog holder”) option in the Fixture Builder automatically generates numerous short contact surfaces along the supporting contour.
- Faster and more flexible trajectory configuration for surface processes: With the help of polylines defined by freely positionable points, the surface to be machined can be fixed as required. The points can be applied on both the CAD surface and the CGR surfaces (triangulated mesh). In this way, no additional geometry needs to be generated in the Part Design.
